He’ll continue to champion Newland Homes’ pioneering approach to climate considerate development.  The emphasis on creating greener, more energy efficient homes is closely aligned to his personal and professional values.

Shining a light on high quality

I’m very proud to be working in an environment where the Newland Homes’ team has created a cutting-edge, zero carbon home.  Looking to the future, I’ll be further supporting our sales teams by introducing more digital experiences.  This will be through brochures, videos, social media and web.  Our internal communications will be bolstered through various initiatives too.”

Reporting to Marcus Evans, Sales & Marketing Director for Newland Homes, who comments: “We have Chris to thank for creating the ubiquitous Newland Homes brand.  Also for continuing to ensure it is held in such high regard by our customers and industry partners alike.  It’s a pleasure working with Chris as he continues to evolve our marketing function and he brings energy and professionalism to our team.”

Building a career in housebuilding

With Bradley Stoke in North Bristol being close to where Chris grew up, he set his sights on a career in the housebuilding industry from an early age.  This was Europe’s largest new build town in the late 1980s.  He commenced a letter writing campaign in his early teens.  Asking housebuilders for careers advice and to visit their developments, he’d then go on his bike at the weekend!  This approach yielded sage advice from many industry stalwarts.  “I’d encourage anyone starting out in the housebuilding profession to be tenacious, as it will be rewarded.” adds Chris.
